Jason's design process includes several core components:
1. The Client - Jason gets a sense of the client's vision, their own personal style and the overall landscape of their home to incorporate into the design. He also likes to give the client as much information as possible and varying options so that they can make educated choices.
2. Functionality - It is very important that a sanctuary serves the desired function(s). The possibilities are many - dipping pools, fish ponds, edible plant gardens, yoga/dance/meditation spaces, prayer sites, memorial shrines, rainwater catchment systems, wildlife sanctuaries or areas for just simply relaxing.
3. Nature Re-connection - A focal point is making the sanctuary a place where the client can interact with nature in order to bring about better health of body, mind and spirit.
4. Earth-friendly - Jason is dedicated to being as earth-friendly as possible. As more environmentally-safe techniques and products become available, Jason is continuously incorporating them into his sanctuaries.
5. Evolving Creation - Jason often gains new inspiration for the design as he becomes fully engrossed in the sanctuary's installation. This is when the sanctuary comes to life; the client has the unique opportunity to co-create a final product that surpasses their original expectations.
